Yi Chen is an assistant professor at the Institute for Economic and Social Research, Jinan University. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2015. His main research fields are labor economics, development economics, and applied microeconomics. His recent research covers a wide range of topics in the Chinese economy, including household consumption and saving behavior, education, family planning policies, and gender inequality.
