Pei Gao

Assistant Professor, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore

Pei Gao is an assistant professor at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at National University of Singapore. Before coming to Singapore, She was an assistant professor at NYU-Shanghai and Global Network Assistant Professor at NYU. Pei’s first degree was in economics from Xinan Jiaotong University, China. She subsequently received a Master of Science and a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her research interests include economic history and development economics, with a special focus on education and health. In her research, she seeks to understand the historical roots of modern development.
