

Andre Loureiro
Senior Economist, World Bank
Andre Loureiro is a senior economist at the Eastern and Southern Africa Unit of the World Bank’s Education Global Practice. Since joining the Bank in 2013, Andre has been leading the preparation, evaluation, and supervision of projects with the objective of improving quality and access to education, as well as analytical work on education policies and human development. His projects and studies include areas such as full-time school, technical education, accelerated learning programs, education financing, and strengthening the management capacity of schools and education secretariats, with emphasis on impact evaluations. André holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Economics from the Federal University of Ceará.
