Alejandro Cid is a Professor in the Department of Economics at Universidad de Montevideo, where he also serves as the President of the university. He is a Research Affiliate at Centro de Estudios para el Desarrollo Humano (Universidad de San Andrés). His research examines topics in the fields of early childhood, development, health, and crime. He received his Ph.D. from Universidad de San Andrés.
