Ana Balsa is a Professor of Economics at the University of Montevideo, Uruguay, and holds a PhD in Economics from Boston University. Her fields of interest are the Economics of Human Capital, the Economics of Parenting and Early Childhood, Health Economics, and the Economics of Education. She is an editor at the Journal of Health Economics, an elected member of the Latin American and Caribbean Economics Association (LACEA)'s Executive Committee, and founder and co-organizer of the LACEA Health Economics Network.
