Ashfaqul holds an MPP from University of Minnesota and a BBA from IBA, Dhaka University. His experiences as a development professional are in the field of research, advocacy and stakeholder communication. Immediately before joining IGC Ashfaqul was working for the World Bank- designing social protection and agriculture programs in collaboration with government officials. He also delivered analytics and advisory products on non-farm economic development. Ashfaqul also gained experience in stakeholder communication and management while working as a project coordinator at UNDP. Earlier in his career, he received training in research while working for IPA and IFPRI where he took part in large-scale survey implementation and management & analysis of data. His research interests include public service delivery, poverty and energy & emissions

Dual misbeliefs and technology adoption: Evidence from air purifiers in Bangladesh
Households in Bangladesh hold inaccurate beliefs about indoor air pollution and the effectiveness of air purifiers. Correcting both beliefs is necessary to increase the adoption and use of air purifiers.
