Daniel Meierrieks is a senior researcher at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center. He received his PhD in Economics from the University of Paderborn in 2012. Before joining the WZB, he held positions at the University of Freiburg and the University of Kiel. His research interests include the economics of terrorism, migration research and climate change economics. Working at the intersection between economics and political science, his research has been published in the Economic Journal, the European Economic Review, the Journal of Peace Research and the American Political Science Review as well as several other journals.
