Elena Perra is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Development Economics at the Department of Economics and Statistics "Cognetti de Martiis" at the University of Turin. She is affiliated with UNU-MERIT and the EMANES EU-Mediterranean and African Network for Economic Studies . Elena completed her PhD at the University of Trento in 2022. Her research explores the effects of infrastructure investments in Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in Ethiopia, as well as the influence of environmental degradation on development, employing geospatial and remote sensing techniques.
