J Priebe heads the Health Economics Research Group at the Bernhard Nocht Institute of Tropical Medicine (BNITM) and is an affiliate with the University of Göttingen and the Hamburg Center for Health Economics (HCHE). His research interests are in development economics and health economics, with a particular focus on behavioral experiments and implementation research. Past and ongoing research of J. Priebe covered the impact of (non-) financial incentives on public service provision, the effect of information and nudges on health-related perceptions & behavior, how racial and religious discrimination affects the supply of and demand for health care, and the role of climate change on health outcomes. He holds a PhD from the University of Göttingen.
