

John Karangwa
Acting Director, Research, Policy Analysis, and Statistics, Rwanda Revenue Authority
John Karangwa is the Acting Director for Research, Policy Analysis, and Statistics at the Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA), with over 13 years of experience in official statistics and public economics. He previously served as Principal Statistician for Social and Vital Statistics at the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR).
He graduated from the National University of Rwanda with a BSc in Applied Statistics, the University of London with a Postgraduate Diploma in Poverty Reduction: Policy and Practice, and University College Dublin (UCD) with an MSc in Applied Economics.
His work on tax administration, policy, and compliance has been instrumental in advancing the development of just and efficient tax systems, supporting RRA's ongoing strategic objectives.
