Jose Bucheli is an incoming assistant professor of economics at the University of Texas, El Paso. His research addresses topics at the intersection of labor, development, and migration economics. Some of his recent work explores the impact of return migration on economic development in countries of origin and the effect of US immigration policies on the well-being of minorities, particularly immigrants and Hispanics.
