Tom McDermott is a Lecturer in the Economics of Climate and Development at the National University of Ireland Galway, and a Visiting Fellow at the Grantham Research Institute, LSE. His research interests are at the intersection of development and environmental economics. In particular, his research focuses on the economic impacts of extreme weather events and on adaptation to climate change.
