Alberto Ciancio is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Applied Economics at the Adam Smith Business School of the University of Glasgow. He is also a Research Affiliate at IZA and at the Population Studies Center of the University of Pennsylvania.

His research interests lie in the areas of Development, Health, and Political Economics.

He is part of the team involved in the Malawi Longitudinal Study of Families and Health and has developed several research projects based on these rich data.
