Iryna Sikora is an ET Consultant (Senior Economist) in the Macroeconomics, Trade, and Investment Global Practice at the World Bank, where she focuses on the interrelations between climate change and trade. Her work covers research and analytics on emerging issues affecting trade and climate change dynamics, supporting country teams, including on CCDRs, and collaborating with other international organizations on related issues. Iryna’s areas of expertise cover environmental and climate economics, carbon and energy markets, as well as application of quantitative analysis tools for policy evaluation and impact assessments.
Before joining the Bank, Iryna has been leading policy-oriented economic analysis in the fields of energy and climate at Ricardo Energy and Environment, KPMG, Frontier Economics, and Chilean Ministry of Energy. Iryna also has lectured in environmental economics at the University of Carlos III in Spain. She holds a master’s degree from Kyiv School of Economics, Ukraine, and a PhD in economics from the University of Alicante, Spain.
