Justin Holz is an assistant professor of public policy at the Gerald R. Ford School at the University of Michigan. He is an economist whose research examines how beliefs, frictions, and social preferences shape decisions in areas such as taxation, policing, discrimination, and benefit access. Holz received his Ph.D. from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. Before joining Michigan, he was a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Economics at the University of Chicago. He is an associate editor at JPE: Micro and an affiliated researcher with LEO and JILAEE.
