Manager, Dominican Republic’s Tax Administration
Patricia Gil is an economist with over a decade of experience in fiscal policy design and implementation. She holds a BA in Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra and a master’s in Public policy and Economic Development from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She currently serves as Manager in Electronic Invoice at the Dominican Republic’s Tax Administration (DGII), where she leads the national rollout of the Electronic Invoicing system and coordinates strategic projects. Previously, she was Head of Economic and Tax Studies at DGII, producing tax policy analysis and macro-fiscal projections. Her professional background includes prior work at the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic and research collaboration with World Ban and the University of Chicago. Her expertise spans tax policy, revenue administration, and economic modelling within emerging market contexts.
