

Debashish Biswas

Debashish Biswas is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the School of Population and Global Health at the University of Western Australia. He holds a Bachelor's degree with Honours and a Master's degree in Anthropology from Jahangirnagar University in Dhaka, Bangladesh, as well as a Master of Public Health Methodology from the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium. He was previously an Assistant Scientist at the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Diseases Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b) in the Environmental Health and WASH research group. As an anthropologist, Debashish specializes in integrating social science methodologies and community engagement approaches to enhance public health interventions. His research primarily focuses on environmental health issues in Bangladesh, particularly examining the connection between environmental factors and public health outcomes.
